Hollywood Lyrics

I've got a picture in my head
In my head
It's me and you we are in bed
We are in bed
You've always been there when I called
When I called
You've always been there most of all, all, all, all
(chorus)
This is not Hollywood
Like I understood
Is not Hollywood
Like, like, like
Get away, get away,
Is there anybody there?
Get away, get away,
Is there anybody there?
get away, get away, get away, away....
I've got a picture in my room
In my room
I will return there I presume
It will be soon
The greatest irony of all
Should do all
It's not so glamorous at all, all, all
(repeat chorus)

This song means that life in couple is not like what we see on TV. The guy is always there for the girl... and the girl is always there for the boy Hollywood shows this kind of picture on TV. In real life, this is bullshit so we we keep on looking at the posters we have in our bedroom.... dreamin hollywood dream is true...

I think that this song is about how life and love is not like it is in Hollywood. Hollywood and the movies and TV are simply not reality. I LOVE the Cranberries, they're so original.

If you've ever visited Hollywood, California, it's a rundown, trashy place with nothing but a bunch of tourist shops. I always thought the song was literally about visiting the city for the first time and being disappointed.... how you can hear about something your whole life and then it is nothing like you pictured. In other words, not about "Hollywood" to represent "the entertainment industry" but about the physical city.

Well, I first thought of this song when I was at a place which was not how its fame is. And I was in love with a girl, whom I never proposed. So to me, it also sounds like a cry from a loner who loves someone to save him, while she is actually not their.

This song has can be understood differently, depending on your mood, age, height. Let me say about how and what I felt. When she states tag this is not hollywood,. It means that life has its own twists, life can be disappointing, when comparing expectations vs reality. The song can be about the end of a relation, in two forms, either breaking up or either due to death. Anyway, the only thing that remains is the picture, memories. When she says about pictures that she has to return and the shoots, probably it's about the nails used to hang the pictures, and when removed, it looks like that someone has shot the walls, the injuries will remain. The hard feeling regarding the end of a relation, either due to breakup or death is something that is so hard to swallow, a lot of anger has been used In dolores'' voice. The other person didn't have to leave but left.
