I appreciate the fact that they care about the world, it seems. And this is almost like a sarcastic view of the way things are in this world. "As if we'll ever get rid of these issues!" so to speak. I'm pretty sure that Phil and the gang don't think that the world will always be like this. I don't. "we all know whatever they say, time is on our side" is just like some in the world saying that we have 'all the time in the world' to fix or solve problems, like pollution, economic issues, crime, yada, yada, yada. Good song. Sometimes brings tears to my eyes.
It's incredibly catchy and very deep. "There's weak and there's strong." - Can't you see America towering over the poorer countries? That's a good video idea...
It's a song about disaster's happening coz it's just the way of the world. like mother nature and hurricans and tsunamis (quite poignant) and like people dying of starvation and AIDS in africa mainly because of the debt africa owes to the west. I think most major suffering in the world is caused by ignorance, selfish ambition and the fact people don't care enough about one another... or is just the way of the world.
