Innocent Exile Lyrics
My life is so empty, nothing to live for.
My mind is all confusion, 'cos I defied the law.
When you weren't there to help me, I lost my mind and ran.
I never had no trouble before this all began.
My life is so empty, nothing to live for.
My mind is all confusion, 'cos I defied the law.
When you weren't there to help me, I lost my mind and ran.
I never had no trouble before this all began.
I'm running away, no where to go.
I'm lost and tired and I just don't know. Yeah...
They say I killed a woman, they know it isn't true.
They're just trying to frame me, and all because of you. Yeah...

abotu a man whos running from the law after being set up, quite like murders in the rue morgue if you think about it
Killers is very much like a concept album in my opinion. All of the songs seem to follow a story, and when I listion to in I seem to see that all of the songs are conected somehow. This song follows the story of Murders in the Rue Morgue.
great riffs/solo :D
I love the bass into for this one, This song to me is a swan song for Di'anno, in a way he was innocently exiled from maiden because of his binge drinking/smoking problems. (which ultimately changed his voice compared to the first album). But as this is my favorite album of all time, I would have to say that he did his job in spades.
Could it be about Marhumid arlli? (spelling) Before he was committed of murder he was disdained by many Anglo people...
I like RichardHarrils theory too.
