Lights Out Lyrics
Winds all the way
Right to the butt of my gun
Maybe now your time has come
Smell of anarchy
No more nice time, black boy shoe shine
Pie in the sky dreams
Hold on tight 'til the end
Better now you know we'll never
Wait 'til tomorrow
Lights out, lights out in London
Hold on tight 'til the end
God knows when I'm comin' on my run
That's the way it goes
Frightening thoughts of what's been taught
And now it shows
Hold on tight 'til the end
Better now, you know we'll never
Wait 'til tomorrow
Lights out, lights out in London
Hold on tight 'til the end
God knows when I'm comin' on my run
Hold on tight 'til the end
Better now you know we'll never
Wait 'til tomorrow
Lights out, lights out in London
Hold on tight 'til the end
God knows when I'm comin' on my run
I tried a thousand times
Under your feet the grass is growin'
Time we said, goodbye
Hold on tight 'til the end
Better now you know we'll never
Wait 'til tomorrow
Lights out, lights out in London
Hold on tight 'til the end
God knows when I'm comin' on my run

The song's about power cuts etc in London in the mid-70s, and the various economic problems and strikes in Britain at the time which were causing such problems. Excellent song, though- The whole band excels!

i always thought it was about the bombing in london during WWII

awsome song but the lyrics are wrong
Wind Blows back and the batons chargin Winds all the way right to the butt of my gun, mabey now your time has come

i love the bass in this song

Great song waaaaaaaaaaay underated band.

Michael Schenkers guitar solo is just so... epic

I saw them in 1982 at the Capitol Center in Maryland. The tiny town of Largo Maryland but it was known as Landover Maryland or DC. UFO sang Lights Out Largo! I suspect they asked the local promoter where they were playing and was told Largo Maryland. My 1st show ever. Gary Moore -> UFO > Ozzy.

UFO or die!!!! Lights out, speakers up, ears bleeding, toosh shaking from side to side, and air guitar off the hook. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
