Rape me, rape me my friend
Rape me, rape me again
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one

Hate me
Do it and do it again
Waste me
Rape me, my friend
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one

My favorite inside source
I'll kiss your open sores
Appreciate your concern
You're gonna stink and burn

Rape me, rape me my friend
Rape me, rape me again
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one, ah-ah
I'm not the only one

Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me (rape me)
Rape me

This song has dual meanings...it started out as an anti-rape song, which is obvious when you listen to the original version that kurt recorded (on the boxed set)...but it was also personal, and became more so in the final recording that has lyrics here. (by the way...it isn't "taste me". it's hate me, do it and do it again, waste me...rape me my friend") "my favorite inside source" is a reference to the slanderous vanity fair article written about kurt and courtney. and it isn't about someone who enjoys being used or raped...it is about someone who is fed up and is using it to convey what the rapist must be thinking about them, while also letting them know that they are wrong...go ahead, rape me, i won't feel it because i'm less than human anyway. I suspect that the original version was not only anti-rape, but it was also about kurt personally...it's only speculation but i think kurt wrote it about different aspects of himself. this is not unreasonable as kurt would change things if he thought it revealed to much about himself (the lyrics to something in the way were changed for this reason) because he feared exposing himself too much emotionally. I believe that it IS anti-rape, but i also think that he uses that explanation to guise lyrics that were also about himself. many of the original lyrics coincide with feelings of insecurity and sadness, along with the desire to be understood and to be saved.
