I love this song. All the way through you get the feeling that he's really strugling, knowing he should 'stand and fight' temptation, but he just can't resist anymore, although he knows it will be his downfall. Then, right at the end, he throws in a couple of extra words 'once again' that reveal that it's not the first time and he's been two-timing for a while. I love the way Del Amitri do that (see Last to know). Very powerful.
had a long love affair at the time when this album came out. still reminds me of all the great times we had together. i know this song is about infidelity but to me it just reminds me of how my boyfriend always had to get the last bus home and how we were so bad at saying goodbye each time. oh to be young again!
