I've got you, and that's all I want.
I won't forget, 'cause that's a whole lot.
When something's wrong, I feel uneasy.
You show me, tell me you're not teasin'.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
Look at you, you're a pageant.
You're everything that I've imagined.
I don't go out, now that you're here.
Sometimes we shout, but that's no problem.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
There's no doubt, but when I'm with you.
When I'm without, I stay in my room.
Where do you go? I get no answer.
You're always out, it gets on my nerves...
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.
I don't know why sometimes I get frightened.
You can see my eyes and tell that I'm not lying.

this song is an amazing cover
yea it is and it simplizes all that most people cant come out and say
I have this on a bootleg and knew it was an old song by someone else, who was the original artist?
in response to your quesiton Belly Full fo Swans: I Got You is a song written by Split Enz in the early 80's - A New Zealand outfit. after hearing his vocals on a song so familiar to me I was blown away - sounds so good. Vedder was influenced by these guys a bit I think as he has performed with them in NZ in a series of show's in 2001. The live album resulting is called Seven Worlds Collide.
The original version of "I Got You" was one of Neil Finn's first major hit songs for Split Enz, and is on the album, "True Colours".
