Here I stand with head in hand
Turn my face to the wall
If she's gone I can't go on
Feeling two foot small
Everywhere people stare
each and everyday
I can hear them laugh at me
And I hear them say
Hey, you've got to hide your love away
Hey, you've got to hide your love away
How can I even try?
I can never win
Seeing them hearing them
In the state I'm in
How could she say to me
"Love will find a way"?
Gather 'round all you clowns
Let me hear you say;
Hey, you've got to hide your love away
Hey, you've got to hide your love away

General Commentin response to your quesiton Belly Full fo Swans: I Got You is a song written by Split Enz in the early 80's - A New Zealand outfit. after hearing his vocals on a song so familiar to me I was blown away - sounds so good. Vedder was influenced by these guys a bit I think as he has performed with them in NZ in a series of show's in 2001. The live album resulting is called Seven Worlds Collide.

General CommentThe original version of "I Got You" was one of Neil Finn's first major hit songs for Split Enz, and is on the album, "True Colours".
