This is just my interpretation of this song, it is most likely wrong. But, this is what these lyrics have meant, to me.
Shining star come into view (Let God into your life.) To shine its watchful light on you, yeah (Allow His grace to be showered over you.) Give you strength to carry on, yeah (The grace of the Holy Spirit will give you strength when you feel like you can't go on.)
Born a man-child of the sun (Born of the Son of God. We are given new life through Christ.)
