ehm, that is kinda wrong and pointless. The song is about the grave of an ancient king. which gets raided by grave robbers or archeologists, disturbing the kings eternal rest. It's realy hard to translate in details, but thats basicly it.
@megacell Your translation is correct. It's in my mother tounge, but directly transcribed from Sogna dialect (not in either of the official written languages). The clearing of the burial mound is describes as an unwittingly done act, so it might have been cleared by farmers for grassing pastures, or to build a homestead. Many of the Mounds are overgrown and blends into the landscape. Accidents occur. No mention of the date, so might be way back. If it was in the 80ies/90ies it would be (at least) local news and the state would have intervened. When I googled it all I found was the lyrics of the song, but I do think it's a true story. It's said that the spesific place (names of the surrounding areas are mentioned) has an eerie atmosphere that still lingers over the disturbed gravesite, and that folks avoid it.
