D.C. Lyrics
Bribing me, We come, We watched how
We're last to throw our pennies
A passive tramps lifts her skirt
And asks us then we throw them down to her
And I know why I will always follow you
Anywhere my brother leads me to
We don't want to live in the sun
Just to keep them happy for awhile
Midnight, and Frank freaks out and reaches God and
Fairly tied up too
But I know why I will always follow you
Anywhere my brother leads me to
And I remember wanting to be you
And pray to God that we would all pull through
Cause I know why I will always follow you
If you're my brother, then I will follow you
Lifelong friends threw bottle ends
And yell in the air like lifelong enemies
Who's stronger, who's lived longer?
World quarrels and grandkids on your knee
Cause I know I will always follow
Anywhere my brother leads me to
And I remember wanting to be you
And pray to God that we would all pull through
Cause I know why I will always follow you
If you're my brother, then I will follow you
Cause I know why I will always follow
I will follow you and I will
I know why I will always follow
I will follow you and I will
We're last to throw our pennies
A passive tramps lifts her skirt
And asks us then we throw them down to her
Anywhere my brother leads me to
Just to keep them happy for awhile
Midnight, and Frank freaks out and reaches God and
Fairly tied up too
Anywhere my brother leads me to
And I remember wanting to be you
And pray to God that we would all pull through
Cause I know why I will always follow you
If you're my brother, then I will follow you
And yell in the air like lifelong enemies
Who's stronger, who's lived longer?
World quarrels and grandkids on your knee
Anywhere my brother leads me to
And I remember wanting to be you
And pray to God that we would all pull through
Cause I know why I will always follow you
If you're my brother, then I will follow you
I will follow you and I will
I know why I will always follow
I will follow you and I will

I find myself faced with an interesting delemma when listening to anything Nickelback related. In this, and almost all other early songs from Hesher, Curb, and The State, Nickelback write absolutely stunning, almost beautiful lyrics, completely unlike the disgrace to humanity which was their last album, and, to a lesser degree, the album before it. However, I can't stand to listen to the songs, mainly because of Chad Kroegers painfully horrendous vocals. With the exception of The State, he sounds absolutely terrible. Listening to him in their early days makes me cringe. However, his vocals have improved over the years, and are pretty damned good on the latest album, if you ask me. However, beyond that, Dark Horse sucks like an electrolux. the songs are generic, radio-friendly rubbish. I could go to five random rock stations anywhere in the country and hear songs which cover the exact same topics: Sex, living your last day as if it were your last, sex, love, sex, drinkin' and smokin', sex, and I think I forgot to mention sex. So what do I do, friends and neighbours? Do I just suck it up and listen to the horrible vocals and brilliant lyrics, or suck it up and listen to the horrible lyrics and improved vocals? Or do I just do the smart thing and stop listening to Nickelback altogether?
