I have an episode of Europe's "Headbangers Ball" (an old one, obviously) where Scott says that this song is about "junkfood". Make of that what you will.
I'll take a wild guess and assume that the "junk food" he's referring to is relationship that you know you should get out of, but somehow keep coming back to. Kind of like how junk food is something we all know we shouldn't be eating, but we keep craving and eating it anyway.

I think this song's about the media. The 5 w questions at the beginning indicate that and the followings "how many qays can you lie" or "I bash my head against your wall everyday" confirm it to me.
So heres the truth. "High Protien Glow" was a term Purina used to sell dog food. The phrase in the commercial was "Give your dog that high pro-glow" They claimed the protien in the food would give your dogs coat a shine so pretty it would glow. Watch the video you will see the vintage products commercials about different things. The song is not about junk food Scott Ian likes to send people on wild goose chases and he wants people to draw a conclusion of what it means to them. That being said Hy Pro Glo is about selfish narcissism "You love to look at you" its making fun of people that are self absorbed. "You got that look I wanna know you got that look the Hy Pro Glo". John Bush is a lyrical genious... The begining of the song gives it away. He's talking about a toxic relationship with a narcisistic woman.
