I'm stuck in my thoughts
Not feeling so hot
No no
In the night when stars are shining
It's your number I am longing to dial
Oh your cellular rings
The sound of your hello is oh so sweet
Everything about ya's off the hook
And I'm prepared to put it all on the line
Well I know it's been a while
And it's really not my style
To call you out of the blue
While you've probably moved on
I've been here
Take some time more than a second baby
Please forgive me if I misbehaved yeah
Lemme know what I can do to save this
Yes I know how late it is
And maybe I've had one or two too much
See this well whiskey
Just hit me and well I'm
Feelin' frisky frisky
I know it's been a while
And it's really not my style
To call you out of the blue
While you've probably moved on
I've been here
Take some time more than a second baby
Please forgive me if I misbehaved yeah
Lemme know what I can do to save this
Lemme know lemme know
Lemme know lemme know
Yeah, woah
I know it's been a while
And it's really not my style
But these feelings cannot hide
So the truth I will provide
I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here

General CommentTo me it's about trying to force the feeling of love, and how you could be missing out on other oppurtunities while trying to persue this one empty love.

General CommentIn my eyes, it's more that just a breakup song. Instead, it seems to be about a person leaving someone they love because the stars just aren't aligned for them.

It seems there's a few reasons behind it. As the singer says, he "caused (her) pain", but despite leaving her, the singer still loves her; "It shouldn't be so hard to be in love."

Despite all this, she seems to still love him, too. She's extremely depressed, so much so that she doesn't even water her roses, something she does religiously.

The singer still thinks it's for the best, as though he's open for the relationship in his heart, he knows in his mind, it's "something that's just not there" for them.

Great song by a great band.
