The One with the Tambourine Lyrics
amazing how such few lines could say everything. I wish I could take my 17 back.
this is supposed to be "one with the wurlitzer," isn't it?
no, wurlitzer is an instrumental on the full length. this is the first song on their ep. this song is awesome, like everything american football did.
what does the line "those red strings: our insecurities" mean? are red strings metaphors for what??
i have no idea what the red strings line means. it might just be a totally personal thing that only him and one other person understand. i'd like to know though
"those red strings: our insecurities"
Until i just listened to that line really closely, I was sure it was: "Those red streaks... are insecurities"
I interpreted the 'red streaks' like scratches, wounds. It made sense to me that way.
But listening closely, it -is- definitely "strings." But I think "are" would work just as well if not better, than "our" in the sentence. Does anyone own an album with official lyrics so we can be sure?
first id like to say, this song is fucking amazing. my favorite song in fact. second id just like to state that american football is better than owen, though theyre both amazing. too bad mike kinsella's a douchebag to his fans. 3rd i dont think anyone will ever know the meaning of this song, its too personal.
tambourines normally have red ribbons or something. sorry if im just confusing more people.
if the lyrics are 'red strings' it could be friendship bracelets
or maybe the red strings are the veins..
