Burnt Flowers Fallen Lyrics
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
All of the flowers
All of the flowers I gave her
She burned them
Burned them
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
Yeah I think she's falling out of love
All of the flowers I gave her
She burned them
Burned them

This is a beautiful song about Pete's acceptance that his lover is no longer his and foreshadows his murderous revenge. Note the sheep samples at the beginning and the pig samples toward the end: Animals for the slaughter. Also note the blade sharpening sample at the end of the song! This song is much more insane than meets the eye!
Could this song be about how his girl once loved him then seemed to “fall out of love” with him…play on words instead of “falling in love”….the flowers as gifts that the lavished upon her, she burnt them, there’s obviously a significant meaning behind this.
I think you hit the nail on the head. A girl he loved rejected him.
hooray for this song!!!!! this one kiks the song, and since you've already explained what it means, im just gonna say it rocks. Pete is one of the best singers i have ever heard, listen to I know You're Fucking someone else. incredible
I think its missing a few lines. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't he change it to "fallen" at one point? Where he says "Yeah I know she's fallen out of love"
This, In Praise of Bacchus and Die With Me all tie in together. Die With Me is about a girl leaving someone to chase their dreams. This song is pretty self explanatory.. In Praise of Bacchus is basically about remembering the past with that person.
Best song ever, not many comments? Its about his lover falling out of love with him
About a jilted lover heartbroken over a break up and is finally grasping that she no longer wants him..... It's so bittersweet this song and one of my favorite TON songs ever!

i love these type of type o (haha that was funny to say) songs, the short lyrics but decent time and great music ones.
This song's cool. Anyone notice the off beat bassline hidden underneath the guitars?
