Such a rush to do nothing at all
Such a fuss to do nothing at all
Such a rush to do nothing at all

Such a rush to get nowhere at all
Such a fuss to do nothing at all
Such a rush

And it's just like you said
It's just like you said

Such a rush to do nothing at all
Such a fuss to get nowhere at all
Such a rush, such a rush

And it's just like you said
It's just like you said

So slow down please
Just slow down
So slow down please
Just slow down

Such a rush such a rush such a rush
Such a rush such a rush such a rush
Such a rush such a rush such a rush
Such a rush such a rush such a rush
Such a rush such a rush such a rush

Look at all the people
Going after money
Far too many people
Looking for their money
Everybody's out there
Trying to get money
Why can't you just tell me?
Trying to get money, rush

Such a rush
We all rush
Such a rush

Such a rush such a rush such a rush such a rush

I love this song. Isn't it about how we're all rushing to get done with our duties so we can be rich and be in what we think is paradise...when the only place we're really going is nowhere.

I agree with Agatha, in my opinion it's about people being obsessed by money and greed living for superficial things. Chris Martins vocals are amazing on this song, love it! :p

Great song, too bad ALL the songs from the Blue Room EP didn't end up on the Parachutes album. It's a critique on society and the somewhat useless spiral of living that keeps getting back to the same point: making money, working, making money, working. I totally agree with 'whoever', it's like the whole song has been pushing towards the outburst.

A good pair with bigger stronger. Basically complainging about the mechanical materialism of modern society...and how all we want is things and money. Great climax...pretty good song.

Blank Space
Taylor Swift
This song is Swift's response to the negative reputation the media has given her. "I can make the bad guys good for a weekend" - the bad guys are the paparazzi to Swift, but are good to the "player" since association with Swift immediately gives publicity. Any publicity is good publicity and Swift knows this. "You can tell me when it's over" - the tabloids rumor relationships are over before the couple announces it officially. With this song Swift is portraying the way she is portrayed by the media. It is a sarcastic jab at how she views herself and how her "ex-lovers" only wanted to be with her to increase their fame. I applaud the brilliance in writing about how you always write about relationships. It is expected so Swift is giving the media what they want and profiting off the attention.
