I think it's about unrequited desire,and longing for someone that you can't have.
Or longing for the person you do have...but not completely. My partner lost all of those longings after a surgery...I have not. damn I know what this song is all about!!!
I think that this song means that the person that she desires and wants she is almost wondering if they even have the same kind of desires that she has for them and almost wonders if they are real because she feels and strongly desires them but still has doubts that they feel the same.
