Obviously about a guy that is obsessed with a celebrity girl and is trying to rationalize why they would be perfect for each other, but realizes it can never happen.
I love TMBG's major-key scathing commentaries of society! It's just great.
yea I think its more general than that, (I heard it as "...water skis as WE..." so i got a more group image tho.) I think its mocking idol worship in general, something i can relate to, I hardly know any celebrities by name, and people will sometimes do anything no matter how stupid and trivial to emulate their idols.
