I love this song atm.
Sounds to me like it's about a guy who instantly falls in love with a girl. Then, at the end of their first night they met he wants to 'kiss her so hard' because he is so much in love with her already. But then he realizes she has a far way to go before she feels the same for him, as it is only their first night meeting.
Dude, this is such a great song! It's about completely hitting it off with someone, and completely falling for them, and trying to get up the nerve to makea move. I think it really captures the nervousness, excitement, and intensity of a first kiss you're really pumped for.

wow....this song blows me out of the 'water'....every time i hear it or read the lyrics i just get flashbacks, similar to 'nam, only not as many slanted eyes. everyone that knows me knows ive said that alot, but its the only way to describe it. this group as awesome talent and i cant wait for more stuff from them.

this is my all time favorite alkaline trio song! it just reminds you of that perfect date with that perfect person ending with that anxiously awaited perfect kiss but it's sad because even though he loves this girl she's not quite ready and he realizes that.
as much as i agree with the "perfect date, perfect guy" bit, i think everyone is missing the refrain "forgot you've got so far to go.." i think this part changes the nature of the song from the "perfect date" mentality compltetely. i belive the song is about getting caught up in the moment of things and not realizing that someone isnt as great as you thought.
