to me this song sounds like the sound that LA would make after being destroyed and deserted. i think it is a follow up of aenima and a sort of prediction. i love the effect of the spark orbiting from right to left speaker on headphones
Tool rocks my socks. Simple as that. I wish Adam Jones was my dad....:(
Negative Ions are known for making you feel better. They're found in nature. Positve Ions have a bad effect on people. Positive Ions are emmitted by your computers, tvs, and other electronic equiptment. They're known for making you feel worn down, and give you a negative disposition. Negative Ions are "feel good" Ions, and the band has described this track as the "feel good song of AEnima", further showing just how quirky their sense of humor can be. It also has an amazing feel to it. The change over from the left to right channel is really cool to listen to in head phones, giving the effect of the ions passing right through your mind, which can be seen as a starting point for letting ALL of their music do the same.
I actually find this song really good to meditate to
do you maybe have an internet site for me where i can read about how to meditate and what the goal is while medetating (reaching something)? cause im very interesting in exploring my spiritual side, but my enviroment doesnt quite contribute, since they are all supreficial and stuff:p

I'm understand why/how someone couldn't see the connection of meditation and music as almost everything is vibration anyway and it helps a ton but what ever.as far as tracks being 'filler' songs that logic just shows that you have little to no music or artistic talent.i do a ton of art and anything i do has at least a few bits i did for fun or that people don't get because they cant get anything out of music with out a 4/4 beat or art that's not explained and in full structure.open you mind a little more then you open your mouth. tool is a fairly deep band so if you don't understand something then think about what that in itself means before expecting them to dumb down for you.
Wow... This song is very meditative.
I'm sat here, 3am, listening full blast through headphones.... The little electrical blip noise seems to go in a circle around my head, passing through my right ear and coming out my left.
It's a very weird feeling, I suggest you try it XD
After I heard this "song" for the -who knows how many-'th time, I got curious about it and looked it up. I never knew anything about negative and positive ions. Probably one of the more interesting or at least the most practical thing I've learned from music. I love TOOL for that. This band will keep your mind open and keep you learning whether you like it or not.
I do not really see what was so special about that sync up. cool video though.
I think this song is a tool.
It is an excellent meditating song because it's surprisingly hypnotic.
is it 'negative ions' or 'minus ions'?
