Medication Lyrics
Wake me up wise by morning
I want to breath the day
This is my final warning
Keep all the clouds away
We've taken, medication
So we can run away from
Another day
I feel alive, I'm falling
We dance until the morning closed our eyes
I would love to stay here and never have to go
And no one in the world would ever know
[chorus]
We will never, never know, never know
I feel the dream is real, watch it go, go
I blink and then another day is gone
I feel the dream that we've been hiding from
We've taken, medication
So we can run away from
The things that pain us, pain
I want to breath the day
This is my final warning
Keep all the clouds away
So we can run away from
Another day
We dance until the morning closed our eyes
I would love to stay here and never have to go
And no one in the world would ever know
I feel the dream is real, watch it go, go
I blink and then another day is gone
I feel the dream that we've been hiding from
So we can run away from
The things that pain us, pain

this song is about running from reality through drug usage "we've taken medication so we can run away from another day" i really love this song though!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Miseryhead but I wouldn't really place a finger on what kind of drugs because I always kind of took it as medication as in like anti-depressants and such. I think for some people it really can be illegal things but for me its not.
no i disagree. you're all wrong. the medication is obviously not supposed to be taken litterally! its a symbol of how patterns of life (eat, sleep, love, education, duties, ect...) repeat every day and make us feel real-"I feel alive...", but we're all just the same, following the illusion of life, and jimmy gneco feels separated from the rest of the world because of he wants us not to feel dependant on this "medication" of life, because he sees it as just an illusion of falsehoods. we chose this illusion to not go insane from the suffering of life-"we've taken medication, so we can run away from, the things that pain us...". now i maybe looking too deep into this song, but i know one thing, i've read commentary on some of his works before, and i know its more deep than you're guys' theories.
i think this song is meant to be an aspect of life, love, saying good-bye to the things you love.
yea this song being about poppin pills seems way too easy
I think that this song is about control. the medication controls a person and the person is trying to get away from the control.
