i think this song is about how one feels after being cheated on. the classic: fall in love, get cheated on, wish you had never met the person scenario. "i want nothing to do with this and you never made up your mind and i never changed mine you know you're emotionless " love this song.
this song reminds me of a previous relationship i was in. a lot happened in the time we were together, i had a lot of doubts, but basically it all came down to how much of a factor drugs were in his life. We broke up on semi-decent terms and still wanted to salvage what we could but it doesn't seem possible anymore.
the chorus is awesome.

yea I agree with redandbluejeans, it's about the songwriter not being able to tolerate the presence of his friend/girlfriend/family member because of their drug problem.
