All Across The Sands Lyrics
Bones of an impressive romance
Scattered all across the sands
A secret safe with all the world
Too vain to seem so capable
[Chorus:]
Can you hear it calling
Do you feel warmer
As the hired hand's exposed
How can a pretty painting shell
Send them all packing out to Hell
A freight train laughs and rattles by
You kissed the girls and made them die
[Chorus]
And I'll never come here again
Ah, we will never come here again
Ah, we will never play here again, again
[Chorus]
After her call
After her call
After her call
And she calls
Scattered all across the sands
A secret safe with all the world
Too vain to seem so capable
Can you hear it calling
Do you feel warmer
As the hired hand's exposed
Send them all packing out to Hell
A freight train laughs and rattles by
You kissed the girls and made them die
Ah, we will never come here again
Ah, we will never play here again, again
After her call
After her call
And she calls

The first line is "BONES of an impressive romance, scattered all across the sands"
@Longpig I have submitted correct lyrics ... hopefully they update it. Also noted first line on second verse incorrectly had "show" instead of "shell" at the end too!

ian brown read a report of a killer who buried the bodies of his rape victims in the sand whilest on tour in the news. shown in "you kiss the girls and make them die"
Aw man paul! T'is a classic love song, im going to stick with my happy vision of it as opposed to the cynical rape ideology haha
I don't know what to make of this song, i think it's got very dark and slightly surreal lyrics.........................still a fucking belter though!!!
yeah, it's about a serial killer who buried his victims in the sand.
Several early Roses songs sound happy but the lyrics are kinda scary.
You're all wrong. This song is about when they played an early gig at the Bluebird Club in Barrow-in-Furness and they were booed off. Hence we will never play here again. Across the sands refers to Morecambe Bay.
