White on white translucent black capes
Back on the rack
Bela Lugosi's dead
The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box

Bela Lugosi's dead
Bela Lugosi's dead
Undead, undead, undead
Undead, undead, undead

The virginal brides file past his tomb
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count

Bela Lugosi's dead
Bela Lugosi's dead
Bela Lugosi's dead
Undead, undead, undead
Undead, undead, undead
Undead

Oh Bela
Bela's undead
Oh Bela
Bela's undead
Bela's undead
Oh Bela
Bela's undead
Oh Bela

Undead

General Comment"Un-Dead" was the original name of Bram Stoker's novel about Dracula.

Is this song about Bela Lugosi, or about Dracula? Since the former is part of the song title, I have to say the song is, indeed, about Lugosi.

I think the entire song paints a picture of Lugosi's later years, in which he was living near-poverty, addicted to pain killers and not really living much of a life (hence, undead).

Also, when he did die, he didn't really die - in the sense that his movie persona will live forever.

Musically, this song is catchy (in a good way) and easily appeals to non-goth fans as well as goth fans.
