| 50 Cent – P.I.M.P. Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The comments on this song are all completely ridiculous. I really can't believe anyone's taking this seriously. It's clear that 'Fiddy' et al aren't taking the persona in this song as a serious and accurate representation of themselves. If you see the video, they're all dragged up in 'PIMP' outfits and so on. You guys clearly need to untwist your knickers. And those of you who think you're something special because you've just discovered godawful commercial rock music? You embarrass me. |

RE: Weasel You're 17 ferchristsakes. I highly doubt you can remember Jade joining the band when you were, what, 9? So how far his influence has as you so eloquently put it *ahem* "fucked over AFI" really ought not to be your field of expertise. |

| AFI – Kill Caustic Lyrics | 19 years ago |

RE: 'Causitc' "'Capable of burning, corroding, dissolving, or eating away by chemical action. now... who would like to tell me how this relates to the song? =] i have an idea, but i'd like your guyses too " Your idea wouldn't be something along the lines of: Caustic = *ALKALINE* Trio (= Matt Skiba = His wife = Davey's ex)? See, that was what came to mind upon reading that. But, then again, that's reading a bit too far into it... :) |

| Bauhaus – Bela Lugosi's Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Re: it being about Lugosi himself as opposed to the role of Dracula. I considered that the case -- in the way that a professional actor will get so into his role he 'becomes' the character. (Lugois's request to be buried in the cape just seems to compound this.) So for *him* to be 'undead' is the result of an actor so typecast that even in death he's still either behaving or considered in line with the role of Dracula. P.S.- Dear 'true goths'... how about just listening to the music you like, instead of complaining that others don't? :) |

| Bauhaus – In The Flat Field Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
The "Flat field" in the song refers to a place Peter Murphy's father took him as a child. This really flat field, where his dad just stood there shooting at a target for three hours straight. And it was so boring it was memorable, clearly. |

| Bauhaus – Crowds Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's a song about how fickle fans -'Crowds'- can be. Interestingly enough, considering the "You will spit on me" line, my mother saw the band as a support act in '79 which apparently resulted in Murphy declaring something along the lines of "We've played some of the roughest venues in the country, then we come here, and the little shits spit at me!" |
