God Gave Me Everything Lyrics

You can see it in a clear blue sky
You can see it in a woman's eyes
You can hear it in your baby's cries
You can hear it in your lover's sighs
You can touch it in a grain of sand
Yeah hold it right there
In the palm of your hand
Feel it 'round you everyday
And hear what I've got to say

God gave me everything I want
Come on
I'll give it all to you
God gave me everything I want
Come on
I'll give it all to you

I saw it in the midnight sun
And I feel it in the race I won
And I hear it in the windy storm
And I feel it in the icy dawn
And I smell it the wine I taste
And I see it in my father's face
And I hear it in a symphony
And I feel it in the love
You show for me

Yeah
God gave me everything I want
Oh come on
I'll give it all to you
God gave me everything I want

Come on
I'll give it all to you
God gave me everything I want
I can't stop can't stop
I'm still looking now
God gave me everything I want
Oh come on
I'll give it all to you

Crazy you said
It's all in your head

[Chorus]

This song is about being happy with the simple things in life that can be so great. And about how you would like to share this feeling with other people. What is meant with "Crazy you said; It's all in your head" ?

I have the soundtrack of "Bruce Almighty", and it's probably my favoritest song on the soundtrack, right behind my second favorite, "The Rockfeller Skank" by Fatboy Slim.

what great duo....mick jagger and lenny kravitz. let's face it, as far as epic rock songs not too many come out anymore. as a matter of fact rock music is being drained by crappy bands and little emo twerps that sing like they have cotton balls stuck up their nose. but every once in a while from the back comes a song that says "hey, that spirit of rock still lives on." kravitz did it with his own music. brought back that attitude with such rock masterpieces as "are you gonna go my way" and "rock n roll is dead" here he teams up with one of the biggest personalities of the genre to write a piece of music that snatches rock out of the grasps of pussy little wannabes. great guitar parts, great lyrics, of course jagger is amazing, but one of the best things about the song is kravitz's back up vocals on the chorus. they give the song an edgeyness it needed, they are an essential ingredient to make this song as good as ambrosia. mick....lenny....you have given us hope for the future of good music.
