I took my love, and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
'Til the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Mm mm

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
even children get older
and I'm getting older, too

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
even children get older
and I'm getting older, too
Oh, I'm getting older, too

Ahh ahh, take my love, take it down
Ahh ha, climbed a mountain and turned around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down, down
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down
oh oh the landslide will bring it down

    Song Meaning

This song is about a songwriter who can't even pick up a dictionary. Great song, but it's quite hilarious that she writes about reflections in snow-covered hills and calls it a landslide and not an avalanche -- as it properly should be called. A landslide is what you get when your avalanche has no snow.

Of course, an avalanche is a lot tougher to work with when writing songs and poetry. But talk about getting the English language wrong...
