Shadows grow so long before my eyes
And they're moving across the page
Suddenly the day turns into night
Far away from the city
But don't hesitate
'Cause your love won't wait

Ooh, baby, I love your way (every day)
I want to tell you I love your way, every way
I want to be with you night and day
I love your way

(Moon appears to shine and light the sky)
With the help (of some) fireflies
I wonder how they have the power to shine, shine, shine
(I can see them) yes, I see them
(Yeah) under the pine

(But don't) don't
(Hesitate) hesitate
(Yeah, your love) 'cause your love
(Won't wait) won't wait

Ooh, baby I love your way (every day) every day
I wanna tell you I love your way (every way) every way
I wanna be with you night and day
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah

(But don't) don't
(Hesitate) hesitate
('Cause your love) 'cause your love
(Won't wait) your love won't wait

I can see the sunset in your eyes
Brown and grey, yeah
Through the sights
Clouds are stalking islands in the sun
(Wish I could buy one) wish I could buy one
Out of season

(But don't) don't
(Hesitate) don't hesitate
(Yeah, your love) 'cause your love
(Won't wait) your love won't wait

Ooh, baby I love your way (every day) every day
I wanna tell you I love your way (every way)
Just wanna tell you, baby
I wanna be with you night and day
What can I say? (Oh) What can I say?

Ooh, baby, I love your way
I love your way (night and day)
I wanna tell you I love your way
Every day
I wanna be with you night and day
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah

I love your way

I was thinking he wrote this song for Penny McCall, who was his girlfriend at the time. You are right, PKF was sooo hot in the 70's !

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
