I think this song is about a relationship where both people got hurt, and now the guy wants the girl back. But but she's changed, and doesn't want to be with him. Anyways, that's what I think. But it could be because that just happened to me. :(

i agree, but i htink they broke it off because she thought he was a jerk or he was really shitty to her a lot, hence the line "i was one, but i iwll make you change your mind". Thats just what i think though. . . .

This is one of my favorite Bush songs ever. I think its about him wanting a girl back. "Its so hard to let you go, I will make you change your mind" I love those lines, they basically explain what the song is about.

Great song. The underlying guitar riff during the chorus, the high pitched walk-up...yeah. that sets the mood for the whole song. Its just a kick ass song. And i can realte. Me and this girl had a thing once and it diddnt work out but i couldn't deal with that, i was convinced that i could change her mind and spent the following 3 months trying to do so. Not aggressivly but i thought i could do it. ITs hard to deal with rejection so i totally get Gavin on this one. Totally. Great Song

i listen endless times to the passage :

And im 100% sure gavin does NOT sing "goods" it sounds much more like grace - so it means destoryed the lines that fed the grace to your heart.

The science of things produced a lot of great songs, but this song is truely amazing. This song should have been more popular, but what can you do? It's the last desperate attempt from a man that wants the woman he loves back, though he screwed up big time. Fishopolis is 100% correct about the underlying guitar riff...awesome...
