The Wikipedia entry for Darling Violetta says this song could be about a "ghoul missing her vampiric master". I don't know anything about the Masquerade Universe; maybe it means something in that context...

They also contributed another song to the Masquerade Universe which was in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines entitled "Smaller God" from the album Parlour. The meaning of the song has been debated since its release, but most people tend to agree the song is about a ghoul missing her vampiric master.'
Don't they mean that 'a smaller God' is about that? it would be more logical to my opinion..
