Is The Answer In The Question?

why has no one commented on this song?? its sooo great the way he sings it! just listen to the lyrics or read them, they are amazing!! its one ofmy favorite songs off of the ever passing moment, anyway great song!!

really good song.....i'm not exactly understandin the thing with is the answer in the question...what answer and what question??

the stuff i put in this post, besides the actual quotes from the song, is just how I took it. maybe its not what MxPx meant at all by the words... but heres what it meant to me:

"So where do we go?" (to God) "And what should we do?" (always ask Him for help with whatever) "And why is the table set for two?" ('set for two' kind of just saying its meant to be me and God togeather)

i think this song could be about not knowing what to do next, maybe in a relationship or just in life. "so where do we go, what do we do??" he's kinda wondering what to do. "is the answer in the question?..." he's thinking hey, maybe the answer is really obvious and easy to figure out.

so here's what i'm thinkin...

bottom line, he's confused. he's unsure where to go or what to do about a situation. he wonders if the answer that he's struggling to find was in front of his face the whole time (hence "answer in the question") also i kinda think that bit hints at a tendency to overanalyze things, which i can relate to. "christalena" i think you have an interesting idea with the God reference, but honestly i don't think that's what it's about although i am a christian. i just think it's all too broad to warrant such a specific interpretation

anyways, that's what i think...great song from an amazing band
