I think this song is about the movie True Romance.

Christian Slater's character talks to an imaginary Elvis (Val Kilmer) several times. The movie is about him accidentally stealing a lot of coke from the mob and trying to get away and sell it in California. The song makes a reference to coke and obviously to talking to an imaginary Elvis.

I could be way off, but it seems to fit.
