In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh-uh

All the things you said to me today
Changed my perspective in every way
These things count to mean so much to me
Into my faith you and your baby
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
Dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh-uh

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
I'm not religious at all, but the line "Into my faith, you and your baby" makes me think of Mary and Jesus. I wonder if it's not a love song but a song to Mary, saying that she believes that God is "out there".
@OldSoul1 It's a good thing you're not religious. I wouldn't want to hear opinions that aren't from a scientific perspective. But that's what faith is so I agree, that line is probably a reference to religion.
