2 other neat facts-
1- The company that made Spam were delighted with this sketch, and sent the members of Python quite a bit of spam, which the Phthons didn't like. I read this in a Python book.
2- This I found amazing- Joseph Stalin, when asked about the #1 contribution to the Russians from the Western Allies during World War II was- spam- it saved his armies from starving to death. Sounds strange, but it's true. There should be a Russian version of this song.
HAHAAAHAHAHAAA
Spam is so wrong.
I believe this song is what gave birth to the term "spam" on the internet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard this from more than one source. It comes from the redundancy (spam, spam, spam, spam...."
3rd and last post in a row. My mom liked spam, so my sister and I had to eat it on a regular basis. That's the closest we'll ever come to feeling like Russian soldiers fighting the Axis powers. Have I ever bought a tin of spam since? No. Good emergency food, though. Better than cooking shoe leather. I've had too much spam in my life. BTW- what is that awful gelatin like substance they coat spam in? Curious.
im pretty sure that the geletin-y stuff is just fat, because it forms on a turky plate after its been out over night.
it's not fat. it's mostly gelatin, which is a protein (made from collagen). I'm not a fan of spam, but i like pork pies and tinned corned beef, both of which contain jelly. i believe it is added as part of the curing process, but it might be exuded from the meat itself. I love that Stalin quotation, cheers.
Wow these lyrics are deep... Corned beef is nice, spam is not.
This would make a brilliant ringtone.
