I Like Chinese Lyrics
Spoken:
The world today seems absolutely crackers,
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high.
There are fools and idiots sitting on the trigger,
It's depressing and it's senseless and that's why...
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
They only come up to your knees,
Yet they're always friendly, and they're ready to please.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
There's nine hundred million of them in the world today,
You'd better learn to like them, that's what I say.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
They come from a long way overseas,
But they're cute and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please.
I like Chinese food,
The waiters never are rude,
Think of the many things they've done to impress,
There's Maoism, Taoism, I Ching and Chess.
So I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their yin and yang-ese.
I like Chinese thought,
The wisdom that Confucious taught,
If Darwin is anything to shout about,
The Chinese will survive us all without any doubt.
So I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
The only come up to your knees,
Yet they're wise and they're witty, and they're ready to please.
(Chinese verse)
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
Their food is guaranteed to please,
A fourteen, a seven, a nine, and lychees.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their yin and yang-ese.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese...
The world today seems absolutely crackers,

It's about a guy who's obsessed with anything Chinese!
I'm Chinese.. am I allowed to like this song? It feels wrong, but hell it's a great song! =) Ahaha..
yeah you can like the song haha, this is the maddest song, whats the chinese vers, i used to learn chinese in year seven and its like:
wo i ??? ren wo i ??? ren wo i ??? ren ni hao ma ni hao ma hi hao ma, zai jien
I'm Chinese too. It's not that offensive except: "They only come up to your knees" and "But they're cute and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please."
In New South Wales, Australia, there's a chain of electrical stores called "Bing Lee", who was Chinese (Bing Lee has since passed away and his family run the stores). They use the music from this song but with the lyrics "I Like Bing Lee".
What always confused me was the line about Chess. The Chinese invented Go, which many say is better than Chess, but I thought Chess was a European invention. And did the Chinese invent Ping Pong? I know that they're the best in the world at it, and they stand about 100 feet away while playing it.
I couldn't get this song out of my head when I recently visited Hong Kong. I'm 188cm tall so the line:
"they only come up to your knees"
rang true (well almost - just exaggerated for effect).
I don't think that this song is offensive, after all Monty Python lampoons everything and everyone, including themselves. Being Australian, their "Bruce's " sketch unashamedly uses stereotypes and pokes fun at us Australians but I thought that it was hilarious.
The chinese lyrics
我爱ä¸å›½äºº Wo ai zhongguo ren (I like chinese [people]) ä½ å¥½å— ni hao ma (how do you do) å†è§ zai jian (bye)
