Bulimic Lyrics

from the way that you acted
to the way that i felt it
it wasn't worth my time

and now it's sad
cause all i missed
wasn't that good to begin with
now i've started you begging and saying things you don't mean
it isn't worth my time
a line's a dime a million times
and i'm about to see all of them

goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..

you call my name when i wake up
to see things go your way
i'm coughing up my time
each drag's a drop of blood, a grain
a minute of my life
it's all i've got just to stay down
then why the fuck am i still down?
i'm hoarding all that's mine
each time i just let one slip by
i've wasted what is mine

goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..

my time.. my time..
my time.. my time..

i'm about to see a million things i thought i'd never see before
and i'm about to do all of the things i dreamed of
and i don't even miss you at all

i'm about to see a million things i thought i'd never see before
and i'm about to do all of the things i dreamed of
and i don't even miss you at all

goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..
you're taking up my time
goodbye to you, goodbye to you..

definetly one of my favorite songs by these guys...i'm not quite sure what it means...but my guess is that its about a guy getting over this girl...he's come to the realization that this girl wasn't worth his time and he's probably sorry they were together to begin with. he's bitter and angry now , thinking back to their relationship and this song is a clarification of his feelings. he's saying goodbye to her, wiping her away from his memories and possibly life. without her now he will be able to do the things he's always wanted to do. he's free now, no strings attached, and he's about to see great things. i think its called bulimic because, he's pulling all thoughts and feelings he's ever had for her OUT of him....kinda like how a bulimic throws up all the food that was taken in. i hope this is correct...hahah..i'm probably wrong though...

hmm i believe that it could be either one... drugs or a relationship.. the words make sense both ways.. i guess it is pretty much in the eyes of the beholder and what the song means to each one of us, it may be different.. but all in all this is definitely my favorite song by The Used!!!! they are awesome!!!

Even though the song may not be about relationships (I've heard about it being about the drugs and such...) it makes me think of exactly how I felt for a long time about my friend Billy... things just got so messed up, it was painful. The lines, "From the way that you acted//To the way that I felt it//it wasn't worth my time//And now it's sad//Cause all I missed wasn't that good to begin with" and "it's all i've got just to stay down//then why the fuck am i still down?" make me think of the situation especially, because all of what I put myself through wasn't worth it to begin with, and yet, I was constantly down about it.

yea i always thought it was about drugs, but the fact the beginning it sounds like his talking about a person, not a substance, but maybe the person that got him to start drugs somewhat ruined his life...and then the end he says that his about to see a million things he thought hed never see before and so on...and that he doesn't miss or need drugs now....cause his actually happy with how things are going, and he doesn't feel down like he use to...and that doing drugs wasnt helping him either...it sounds like he did (maybe still does once in awhle) heroin, crack...but who knows what kinda dope him talkin about

well i think there could be three meanings of it. 1] an eating disorder. the song is called bulimic, and it just sounds likes he's battleing an addiction. 2] which could also mean its about a drug addiction. 3] he's breaking off a relationship with a close friend, not a girlfriend, you can tell by the way he talks about the 'em.

either one this song is about moving on with his life.

My friend... ahem, has had problems with bulimia in the past. That said, I can take this song as the title suggests. My friend, um, also loved the heck out of the second verse when he broke up with his boyfriend, I mean he experienced bulimia and breaking up at the same time. Maybe bulimia even as a vice after/during the break-up. That's what the second verse means to me. "I'm coughing up my time"/"hoarding all that's mine"/"wasting what is mine" and the bridge "...I don't even miss you at all!!"

But all those experiences aside, I think this song can be viewed three ways: (saying I don't even miss you at all, good-bye to you, etc.) 1 Talking to an ex. 2 Talking to your eating disorder/addiction. 3 Talking to the food itself that's not in your body anymore.
