I'm not quite sure what it means, but I think this song is amazingly beautiful, I believe its a typw of love song, and when she say "breathe into my hands i’ll cup them like a glass to drink from" I think she's saying you can trust me, and when she says "are you still...still breathin?" shes saying are you still here putting trusting me

too beautiful. i basically think this song is about a couple getting intimate with each other for the first time. i think the line "breathe into my hands i’ll cup them like a glass to drink from" means the same thing EMS1603 said, about trust. And the "Are you still, still breathing" part is just about them being intimate for the first time, her still checking to make sure her partner is still alive, and making sure that he's still breathing because she is not.

my opinion may be heavily biased though, because in the movie "but im a cheerleader" this was used for the intimate "Discovering" scene.

I love this song. Most love songs need sickening, sugary sweet cliches that are obvious therefore meaningless. This song has a very simple honesty and beauty about it.

I think it's about loving someone so much it hurts, thats why in the middle of the song it gets loud. Then the lyrics basically mean what EMS said
