I liked the sound, but as a cover of this song, I hated it. It was creative, but "My Sharona" was a really upbeat song, so I am totally against the cover.
Veruca Salt stiil rules, though.
i thought it was ok! i love both versions
This cover is definitely a lot more seductive than the original by The Knack. The Knack wins. I still love Veruca Salt though. Great voices.
I think the cover is pretty good. They tend to make their cover songs slower than they originally were (check out bodies) but veruca salt's album versions of most of their song are slow anyways so they basically covered it in their style. (although they play live songs pretty fast). I dunno. I think it's an ok cover. I love their voices.
I love the cover. I don't think the Knack version's upbeat music fits with the lyrics. They seem a lot darker and I like how Veruca Salt brought out that creepiness.
