I think this song is about someone who isnt an individual, there just a sheep following the herd and there not thinking for themself
"I think this song is about someone who isnt an individual, there just a sheep following the herd and there not thinking for themself " pretty much. its about the masses all thinking alike and not having their own thoughts, or individual thought patterns.
Very simple to interpret, in a way. It is about narrow minded human beings, who have no substancial opinions, nor think for themselves.

It's what I believe Chuck was thinking about for writin' this one.
This song is about a bedspread called Kitty who goes on an adventure in the woods. Whilst exploring she accidentally falls in a ditch which is filled with water. Being a bedspread, she cannot possibly maake her way out and simply lays there getting wet. Over millions of years sediment collects at the bottom of the pool, smothering her. Under the immense pressure of the water the sediments turn into rock. As no oxygen could get past the rock she is petrified into the stone. This leaves a fossil. When archaelogists dig in the ditch years later they discover the valuable fossil. However they decide to chuck it in the bin and watch a football match instead, as this is the style at the time.
