I Don't Believe Lyrics

I don’t believe in anything
She says to me
And I don’t believe that she cares for me
Is it me that she loves?
It is someone else?
Because I got to know, before I leave
Is it the warmth of her touch or the sweetness that is in her kiss?
My heart is telling me never let go of this
Is it the look in her eyes or the brightness that’s in her smile?
I walk the world for her, she couldn’t walk me a mile
She couldn’t walk me a mile
The days go past
And the time slips away
It happened all so fast, I couldn’t make her stay
And all the memories she left they rest in my head
Sometimes I feel that I’d be better off dead
I’d be better off dead
Is it the warmth of her touch or the sweetness that is in her kiss?
My heart is telling me never let go of this
Is it the look in her eyes or the brightness that’s in her smile?
I walk the world for her, she couldn’t walk me a mile
She couldn’t walk me a mile
(repeat last few lines)

This is without a doubt one of my favoite songs. Like zzdanthemanzz said, it's a guy who is madly in love with a girl who doesn't care about him. It's like he knows she doesn't feel the same, but he'll do whatever it takes to be with her and stay with her because maybe she could love him the same way someday - "my heart's telling me never let go of this." The hurt of her not liking him the same is better than the hurt of not being with her at all. That's how I interpret it, at least.
