I saw a lady and she was naked
I saw a lady she had no clothes on
Seen her in the corridor
Lying on her back on the floor
Why she want to pick on me?
She was -- naked

I saw a lady and she was naked
I saw a lady she had no clothes on
I had a good look through the crack
Footmarks up her back
How did they get there?
She was naked -- naked

I saw a lady and she was naked
I saw a lady she had no clothes on
now she's looking at me
What's that rope I see?
I don't like the look of those boots
She was naked -- naked

I don't wanna seem crude but she was nude
Nude -- nude -- nude --nude

I'm guessing the best interpretation of these lyrics is: He saw a naked lady who had no clothes on who was lying on the corridor floor. He got a good look through the crack and noticed she had footmarks up her back. The lady then saw him looking through the crack and that's when he spotted a rope and a pair of boots which he didn't much like the look of. He asked himself, "Why she want to pick on me? And those footmarks, How did they get there? What is that rope which I see for"? And he didn't wanna be crude, however, she was nude!

Oh dear... I really think the credit should have been given to Adam Ant for writing this song... After all... He did. I know why it says " 'Lady' as written by and Paul Vance Lee Pockriss " at the top. It's because Adam Ant sung a cover of 'Catch a falling star (What a cover it is too) which they are worthy of writing. Unfortunately it was recorded straight after 'Lady' and the finished recording is called 'Lady\Catch a falling star'
