I won't even try to guess what Phil meant here, but my theory is that "love" here is not about his feeling towards some or any girl. Protagonist (extraverted rock fan or rock star) went to a night out to a rock show to hang out with friends, musicians and women, He had his fun, listened to music, talked to friends, had sex with a woman, but now he is feeling himself unloved, as the whole party is over and he is heading home alone
