It's about trusting one another and having to stick one another to get through things. It's that simple, yet that complicated.
What is "the ghost". Everything else seems to be about trusting people, but the chorus confuses me.
He's talking about how easy it is to die, and how it happens to everyone since we are all nothing more then "Flesh 'n' Blood," and it ends up being the ultimate equalizer. But he's not going to give up to death without a fight, no matter how tempting and also about how his loved can help keep him strong.
"Not going to give up the ghost" means he's not going to give up to death.
