My Baby Just Cares For Me Lyrics

My baby don't care for shows
My baby don't care for clothes
My baby just cares for me
My baby don't care for cars and races
My baby don't care for high-tone places

Liz Taylor is not his style
And even Lana Turner's smile
Is somethin' he can't see
My baby don't care who knows
My baby just cares for me

Baby, my baby don't care for shows
And he don't even care for clothes
He cares for me
My baby don't care
For cars and races
My baby don't care for
He don't care for high-tone places

Liz Taylor is not his style
And even Liberace's smile
Is something he can't see
Is something he can't see
I wonder what's wrong with baby
My baby just cares for
My baby just cares for
My baby just cares for me

What? No comments? This songs amazing! Quite a happy song, not much of an explanation needed. Yet the piano in this song is fantastic, love it

The piano is indeed fantastic, I just love it! The singer's voice is gorgeous too... the whole song is just so sophisticated! The lyrics give away its age - it's an old song I believe?

From Wiki: "My Baby Just Cares for Me" is a jazz standard written by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by Gus Kahn. It was written for the 1930 film version of the 1928 Ziegfeld musical comedy Whoopee!, starring Eddie Cantor. It is known as the signature tune of singer and pianist Nina Simone."

Not one of Nina Simone's best, but due to use in commercials became a popular, even with people who don't know her name. The piano solo is quite cute, its jazz for pop fans.

And the older dude I was with, I guess you could say he cared for you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you! Creep!!!
