Northern Lady Lyrics
Lady face the morning sun
The sunlight in your hair
Northern Lady, you're the one
Why do you mean so much to me
I need you every night
Northern Lady, you're the one
If you need me, I'll be there
I'll fly right back to you
Northern Lady, you're the one
Will you use your head tonight
And come into my room
Northern Lady, you're the one
You're the one
Lady face the morning sun
The sunlight in your hair
Northern Lady, you're the one
The sunlight in your hair
Northern Lady, you're the one
I need you every night
Northern Lady, you're the one
I'll fly right back to you
Northern Lady, you're the one
And come into my room
Northern Lady, you're the one
You're the one
The sunlight in your hair
Northern Lady, you're the one

Now while this is a general, standard love song about the girl a guy loves, I found something that might give some deeper meaning. Since Saxon are British, a bit of public perception is that northern girls generally seem to act a bit more like average guys, in terms of being more carefree than their southern counterparts. There are exceptions, but most northern girls tend to be more forthcoming with banter, are harder drinkers, and maintain more relaxed attitudes to casual sex. Some stating that northern women are more calm, and bitchy in the "Ice Queen" way. So that's what I believe the Northern Lady the character is in love with is; I may be wrong but it's just an interpretation.
