Taking The Veil Lyrics
In dresses white, all set for sail
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
In dresses white, all set for sail
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
On beaches clean of sand and shell
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
All lightning bright and thunder loud
A little girl dreams safe and sound
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
A little girl dreams of taking the veil
A little girl dreams safe and sound

I think it's a young girl -- maybe not so much a little girl per se as a very young teen -- dreaming of being a bride (dresses white = wedding gown. Set for sail = honeymoon) So, it's a young maiden dreaming of meeting, loving, and uniting in love and commitment with her Heart's True Hero
Sylvian has said it's about a little girl dreaming about being a nun, so it is about marriage but more specifically her marriage to Christ.
I'm sure the title is a reference to the Max Ernst collage book.
