this song has good lyrics, i think it's sweet
I love this song, especially the acoustic version!! I love how it can apply to both God and to a significant other. More songs should be like that.
i love that bit too, but i like the acoustic version better. somehow for me the softer tune fits better with the lyrics. thats just my opinion though.

someone who see's past what's there, see's he's true values. able to see the REAL him altho he is hesitant to be the person he knows he is, he's trying to let the barriers down, but afraid by the time he does...he will be left alone.
I think this person is a little lost, out trying to find himself. searching the world, but all that keeps happening is he's thinking of one person who is so real and doesn't put up with any bullsht and doesn't dish out any bullsht. He's seeing now that no matter what he does or where he goes all he wants in the end is her, and to take him away from this world, he's trying to get back to her, but he's still a little lost and needs a little faith. He's begging, don't give up on me because i know i will find a way to be with you, healing just needs a little time.
I totally agree with wildflower154. He saying in his heart he is missing something, that no girl/guy can ever fill. No matter how much you love a guy/girl they can never come close to GOD's love. When he says "take me away" I think he is telling GOD to come live in him. Lifehouse is a great band and Jason must be a wonderful guy because of his trying 2 do the right thing that GOD wants him to do. This song is great!!
