Thoughts Lyrics

thoughts right now
i picked up a magazine
ohh here we go
fifteen hundred years,
fifteen hundred years right here
burning witches, burning books
burning babies and their looks

yes, indeed
burning everything that's sacred in my jeans

thoughts right now
she's been everybody else's girl
thoughts right now
now...
thoughts right now
right now
am i here
am i here
never here...
i'm never here
i'm never here
i'm never here
never a bird
or a flower in the tree
or the pain of the respect thereof
yes, indeed!

thoughts right now
what will become of me?
become of her?
become of we, baby?
yeah...

This was an improv, during the recording of LE right? She kept screwing up 'Girl' so they took a break and she just started playing this.

I don't actually think it means anything. I think it's a subconscious thing, like what she's thinking and she's just singing it and it actually makes sense. Sort of. If it DID have a meaning, I think it's just a very random, very disconnected social commentary.

I think it's talking about the fate of her song "girl" considering that it includes part of "girl"'s lyrics and that she refers to her songs as her babies, which may be why she makes an analogy from songwriting to giving birth "what's sacred in my jeans". What will become of her and the girl in the song "Girl" and both of them together, where is she in life, etc.
