Here, I said
don't even let this go
and it's
hey to that old man.
I'm coming in the graveyard
with my little tune,
it's June
I said she's gone but I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm coming in the graveyard
to sing you to sleep now
don't even let this go
and it's
hey to that old man.
I'm coming in the graveyard
with my little tune,
it's June
I said she's gone but I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm coming in the graveyard
to sing you to sleep now

i read in a tori amos bio book that when her grandmother died that she used to go to her grave and sing to her and i think that this song is about that. i once heard someone say that they though this song was cute and that is not my impression at all i feel saddne ,grief and loss
It seems to be about not taking for granted that you're alive but also respecting the dead.
Haha, this probably sounds weird/oddly perverted, but: I always thought this song was about having sex (possibly...in the graveyard) after someone has died. Kind of a juxaposition of feeling incredibly alive and the absence of life - "she's gone, but I'm alive" - you know?
