So getting back to the topic of song MEANINGS....i think this song is about ATD-I breaking up. its about omar and cedric's creative control over everything and how the rest of the band just went along for the ride.

it's rumoured that the band broke up after their keyboardist died and omar and cedric wanted to write a whole album to his memory. this song is possibly a comentary about how the rest of the band had little to no say about what directions the band went. if you listen to the last ATD-I album and the first TMV album you'll notice alot of similarity whereas old ATD-I and new Sparta sound alot alike....coincidence? i think not. but that's just me and i could be on crack. lemme know if you agree...
these lyrics are wrong, and i know this isnt the wiretap scars version but theyre still wrong. it really says "this scenery can fail CALM" also "what would the ODDSMAKER say, would the ODDSMAKER say?" also "were drinking ON jetstreams" and there might be more. cmon dudes

i wish people would have more opinions on the song than the artist but i think its just the power of where your mind can take you and how it can captivate you.....i think sparta changed these lyrics alot before wiretap scars came out so i think there were a few mistakes the first verse ends

Okay well, let's talk about the song for a change... My take on it is that the speaker is in a struggle between a decision. Taking it further, the songs seems to say that he (or they) knows the final consequence is enevitable but he can't give in. He must do what he knows or thinks is right and rely on himself for strength. 'Ideas left unmentioned' could mean that people don't consider differing possibilities. Or maybe he had confidence up til the end ('up til the end it seemed so bright') who knows, that's my take. Looking forward to new stuff from TMV and Sparta. It's not our place to figure out why ATD-I broke up, embrace the beautiful creations that came from ATD-I's ashes. Peace
